Explore Priorities

Throughout a year-long planning process, over 250 food system advocates and practitioners came together to analyze data, share their experiences living and working in the food system, and determine the top three priority areas to address together over five years, from 2025-2030. The priority areas are Policy and Advocacy, Food Access, and Climate-Smart Foodways.

The 2022-2024 Statewide Food Action Plan was the first of its kind in Arizona. Over 150 food system practitioners and advocates came together to develop the plan from 2019-2021, and the Plan’s objectives and strategies for action were implemented from 2022-2024.
